Whether residential, commercial or industrial, we have the expertise and resources to troubleshoot a wide variety of projects where specialty flooring services are required. With deep knowledge of coatings and systems – and how they interact within a variety of environments – we can collaborate throughout the entire flooring process, from the early flooring removal stages through system selection and installation.
OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:
When renovating small- or large-scale projects, removing existing flooring – quickly and effectively – can present challenges. We have state-of-the-art equipment that makes it easier and significantly faster than traditional methods.
CONCRETE SURFACE PREPARATION
Proper surface prep can help ensure the longevity of a new system, preventing future (and costly) flooring failures. Whether installing an overlay or restoring existing concrete, flooring surfaces need to be prepped for the specific type of installation. We can grind or shotblast the surface to create the right profile for the job, in accordance with Concrete Repair Institute CSP guidelines.
CONCRETE MOISTURE REMEDIATION
As one of the leading causes of flooring failures, the importance of proper concrete moisture remediation cannot be stressed enough. We provide expert moisture remediation at three stages:
- Before the installation of concrete flooring system
- When a moisture issue is detected within an existing slab
- When concrete dries too slowly to meet a construction schedule
In accordance with ASTM standards, we always recommend a relative humidity probe or calcium chloride test to assess the level of moisture in a concrete slab. While there are other methods to test concrete moisture, these tests are considered the most accurate, and we firmly believe in doing the job right – the first time
When untreated, moisture can seep into new and old slabs, creating numerous issues within the coating that lead to failure, including delamination, blistering, blushing or bubbling. Warranties may be voided in the event of a failure if moisture wasn’t remediated properly. We offer guidance on when and how to remediate moisture in virtually any scenario.
When regrading or leveling, we alter the slope of a surface to meet environmental demands. That means we can completely level an area, or we can angle it to create a drainage pathway.
In many cases, the existing grading of concrete needs to be corrected in order redirect water runoff. This is a common issue that can lead to extensive water damage within a facility or home, and in the worst cases, cause flooding. Proper grading resolves many of these costly repairs and dangerous scenarios.
Polished concrete has a smooth, glossy and reflective appearance commonly seen in commercial facilities, adding a touch of class and sophistication while creating an environment that’s easy to clean and maintain. When executed properly, polishing protects and densifies concrete, negating the need for additional topcoat. It can also be performed in tandem with the application of concrete dyes and stains, creating unique decorative patterns.
We have the expertise and heavy-duty equipment for dry or wet concrete polishing, depending on project requirements and budget.
