Mark-Headshot2

With nearly three decades of experience in the concrete coatings industry, we’re excited to announce that Mark Haen has joined Tenec Coatings as General Manager.

A master coatings troubleshooter who understands the diverse challenges customers face, Mark oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed with the highest level of quality and execution.

Mark has a long-standing relationship with Tenec Coatings founders Daniel and Leane Owen, previously serving as a Sales Representive for Arizona Polymer Flooring (APF), a national coatings manufacturer that the couple previously owned and operated. At APF, Mark was responsible for making product and system recommendations, and developing relationships with contractors, architects and end users. He also conducted contractor trainings across the nation, teaching proper installation of APF’s various epoxy materials and sharing troubleshooting techniques.

Mark also owned and operated an award-winning coating contracting business that offered a full range of coating installations, from decorative to industrial. Additionally, he helped launch the Decorative Concrete Institute West in 2006, a training and mentoring program for the Decorative Concrete Institute.

“I’ve known and trusted Mark for years,” said CEO Daniel Owen. “He really understands how to blend aesthetic and performance demands, which is a rare combination in this industry. He also brings a high level of creativity, which is essential with both decorative applications and troubleshooting in complex environments.”
